Soccer Game Preview: Pennfield vs. Columbia Central

The Pennfield Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Columbia Central Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbia Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pennfield, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pennfield took on Onsted on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Wildcats 8-1. Pennfield might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

Despite a strong season so far, Columbia Central has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Tecumseh.

Pennfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five contests. As for Columbia Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5-1.
