Baseball Recap: Gull Lake Makes It Nine in a Row on the Road

Gull Lake had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Caledonia Fighting Scots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-0 back in April.

Gull Lake pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Caledonia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Gull Lake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Kellogg on the 10th. As for Caledonia, they will square off against Byron Center at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
