Baseball Recap: Segerstrom Takes a Loss

Segerstrom played against Kennedy on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

Adrian Landeros was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Segerstrom saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Nu?ez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Nu?ez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Segerstrom has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Kennedy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9.

While Segerstrom had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
