Baseball Recap: South Glens Falls Takes a Loss

South Glens Falls was the 1-0 winner over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake when they last played one another back in May of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

Rowan Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. South Glens Falls is 3-1 when Brown allows one or fewer earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

South Glens Falls is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, their record is now 4-16.

As of now, neither South Glens Falls nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
