Trinity Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Wickenburg Christian Academy Lion 74-50. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Lion back in December of 2024, they had to take a 56-55 loss.

Wickenburg Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Sheehen, who posted eight points. Sheehen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tate Poppe, who put up six points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Trinity Christian's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-4.

Trinity Christian has already played their next game, a 58-44 win against Thunderbird Adventist Academy on the 1st. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, they will challenge A+ Charter School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
