Recap: Dunnellon Tigers vs. Crescent City Raiders

The Dunnellon Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Crescent City by a score of 70-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Dunnellon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Nelson led the charge by scoring 17 points along with three steals. Nelson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. A'zyron Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

Dunnellon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Crescent City, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunnellon and Lake Weir will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Lake Weir focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Crescent City and Taylor will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Taylor is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
