Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Glarus). They blew past the Waterloo Pirates 87-66 on Friday. Given the Glarner Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Pirates are ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Glarus' win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Waterloo, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Glarus will welcome Darlington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Darlington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matchups -- so hopefully New Glarus likes a good challenge. Waterloo has already played their next game (against Rio), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
