Basketball Game Preview: Kokomo Wildkats vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings

The Kokomo Wildkats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Kokomo lost to Anderson on the road by a 84-68 margin.

Despite the defeat, Kokomo had strong showings from Baris Moore, who went 9-for-16 to rack up 23 points, and Zion Bellamy, who posted 21 points and five rebounds. Those 23 points gave Moore a new career-high. A'Dayveon Young was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley entered their tilt with Huntington North on Friday with nine consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on Huntington North with a sharp 58-38 win.

Kokomo's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

Kokomo took their win against Tippecanoe Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 59-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kokomo since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
