Recap: Seminole Warhawks vs. Tarpon Springs Spongers

The Seminole Warhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tarpon Springs 65-21 at home. That 44 points margin sets a new team best for Seminole this season.

Seminole had a senior duo take command as Devon Swartz scored 16 points along with two blocks and Laney Pearson scored 17 points. Swartz hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Ava Santore was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for Tarpon Springs, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seminole will take on Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tarpon Springs won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fivay at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Fivay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Friday.
