Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ava Neuberger and Kennedy Weisensel Lead Marshall to Victory

Marshall picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Green Bay Southwest Fighting Trojans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Leading Marshall to victory were Kennedy Weisensel and Ava Neuberger. Weisensel had six aces and five digs, while Neuberger had 13 assists and five aces. Neuberger is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season. Neelah Klubertanz also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Marshall was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Green Bay Southwest, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Marshall will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Sun Prairie East at 1:30 p.m. As for Green Bay Southwest, they will head out to face off against Menasha at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
