Volleyball Recap: Marshall Triumphs

Marshall picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Green Bay Southwest Fighting Trojans by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Kennedy Weisensel had a dynamite game, getting seven aces and six digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Neelah Klubertanz also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Marshall was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in five consecutive matchups.

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Green Bay Southwest, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Marshall has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Sun Prairie East on the 30th. As for Green Bay Southwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Madison West on the 30th.
