Soccer Game Preview: Archer vs. Grayson

The Archer Tigers will square off against the Grayson Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Archer has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Archer took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Heritage 6-5. Libby Hutzell was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Grayson entered their match against South Gwinnett on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Grayson fell 3-1 to South Gwinnett. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Archer has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four contests. Grayson now has a losing record of 3-4.

Archer was able to grind out a solid victory over Grayson in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Archer repeat their success, or does Grayson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
