Basketball Recap: Richards Comes Up Short

Richards was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 73-61 to the Julian Jaguars. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 81-60.

When it comes to explaining why Richards lost, don't look at Lamar Bruce. Despite the final result, he posted 30 points. Those 30 points gave Bruce a new career-high. Rashaud Lyons was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Richards' defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Julian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Richards will be playing in front of their home fans against Leo at 5:00 p.m. on February 12th. Richards is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season. As for Julian, they have already played their next contest, a 64-62 win against Perspectives-IIT/Joslin on the 6th.
