The North Ridgeville Rangers will take on the Wadsworth Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
North Ridgeville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Cuyahoga Falls a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Naomi Bottomlee was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabby Thibodeaux, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailee Pasenow, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Wadsworth entered their tilt with Olmsted Falls on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Bulldogs.
Lorene Bennett 2025 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Lauren Ball 2025 was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddy Hostettler 2025, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Wadsworth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olmsted Falls only managed five hits.
North Ridgeville's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Wadsworth, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
