Volleyball Game Preview: Kellam Knights vs. Riverside Ram

The Kellam Knights will take on the Riverside Ram at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kellam comes in on 19 and Riverside on 22.

Kellam is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Midlothian with a sharp 3-0 win.

Kellam not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Midlothian between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-16.

Giulia Alison was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 23 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabella D'adarria, who had 14 digs.

Meanwhile, Riverside faced Ocean Lakes in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Ram were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dolphins.

Kellam's record is now 24-3. As for Riverside, their record now sits at 27-2.

Kellam might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Riverside in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
