Preview: Collins Warriors vs. Lake View Wildcats
The Collins Warriors will be playing at home against the Lake View Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Collins nor Lake View posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.
Collins had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Crane Medical by a score of 2-0. Collins has not had much luck with Crane Medical recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lake View's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to Clark at home by a decisive 42-25 margin.
Despite the loss, Lake View had strong showings from Imariz Duran, who scored 13 points, and Jada Marrero, who scored 11 points. Marrero scored a full 44% of Lake View's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Collins' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Lake View, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
