South Sumter proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Citrus Hurricanes 8-6. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won three in a row.
Raven Parker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off 11 hits. Parker was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nathalie Williams, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
