Football Game Preview: Northwest Classen Knights vs. Piedmont Wildcats

Northwest Classen hasn't had much luck against Piedmont recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Northwest Classen has given up an average of 27.5 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northwest Classen's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Putnam City on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Pirates are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, Piedmont came up short against Choctaw on Friday and fell 40-29.

Piedmont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Northwest Classen, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Northwest Classen took a serious blow against Piedmont when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 61-6. Thankfully for the Knights, Jayden Fuston (who rushed for 157 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
