Softball Recap: Blue Island Eisenhower Takes a Loss

After flying high against Thornton Fractional North on Thursday, Blue Island Eisenhower came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 11-1 to the Argo Argonauts on Monday. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Argonauts when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Blue Island Eisenhower saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Clark, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Blue Island Eisenhower has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Argo, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Blue Island Eisenhower will challenge rival Reavis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Argo is set to square off against their familiar foe Evergreen Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
