Recap: Skyview Wolverines vs. Conifer Lobos
The Skyview Wolverines''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Conifer, falling 52-21. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Skyview in their matchups with Conifer: they've now lost five in a row.
Carston Wolanske had an outrageously good game for Conifer as he rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Payer, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Skyview has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Conifer, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Skyview will head out on the road to face off against Green Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Green Mountain is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Conifer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evergreen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
