Basketball Recap: Southwest Louisiana Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against Acadiana Christian

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool won against Christian Home Educators Fellowship last Friday with 66 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool took their contest with ease, bagging a 66-36 win over the Acadiana Christian Lions. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Tristan Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles King, who posted 14 points and five boards.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Acadiana Christian only racked up four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Acadiana Christian lost, don't look at Kollin Thibeaux. Despite the final result, he earned 29 points and three steals. That was a full 80.6% of Acadiana Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Zack Lacoste was another key player, putting up four points.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Acadiana Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-23 victory against Faith Training Christian Academy on the 13th. Acadiana Christian has also already played their next matchup, a 59-54 loss against Shreveport HomeSchool Sports on the 14th.
