Softball Recap: Tech Takes a Loss

Tech came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the West Caldwell Tech Eagles, falling 18-11. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for West Caldwell Tech, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tech will welcome Irvington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.25 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Caldwell Tech, they will face off against St. Vincent Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. West Caldwell Tech will need to watch out since St. Vincent Academy has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
