Basketball Recap: Gorham Piles Up the Points Against Pittsburg

Gorham came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 63-34 win over the Pittsburg Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Huskies have posted against the Panthers since February 12, 2020.

Gorham pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games. As for Pittsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gorham will head out to challenge Lin-Wood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pittsburg, they are taking a road trip to take on Colebrook Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Colebrook Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pittsburg surely won't give up without a fight.
