Miami has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.8 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over the Northwestern Bulls. Considering the Stingarees have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Miami's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northwestern, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Miami will square off against Southwest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stingarees will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. Northwestern has already played their next game (against Hialeah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
