Baseball Recap: East Hamilton Wins Going Away Against Lookout Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Red Bank, East Hamilton was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Lookout Valley Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hurricanes yet this season.

Griffin Phillips tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Barron Kishimoto-Ashmore was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Mason Wolcott was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

East Hamilton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lookout Valley struck out seven times.

East Hamilton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lookout Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

East Hamilton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Boyd-Buchanan on the 8th. As for Lookout Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 loss against North Murray on the 8th.
