Volleyball Recap: Denison Takes a Loss

Denison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Melissa Cardinals, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-8.

Denison's loss dropped their record down to 13-23. As for Melissa, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Denison is set to take on their familiar foe Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Melissa will face off against rival Lovejoy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
