Cascade suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Cascade Cadets vs. Northview Knights

The Cascade Cadets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Northview by a score of 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Cascade has suffered yet this season.

Several Cadets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylee Austin, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Lilly Hall, who scored 11 points.

It was another big night for Brynlee Clarke, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds for Northview. Clarke hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Carlee Schrader was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

Cascade bumped their record down to 7-10 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Northview, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Cascade will head out on the road to face off against Cloverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cloverdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Northview, they will be playing at home against South Putnam at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Putnam will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Northview is ranked 104th).
