Recap: Torrey Pines Falcons vs. San Dieguito Academy Mustangs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Torrey Pines Falcons gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past San Dieguito Academy 78-29 at home. With Torrey Pines ahead 41-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Torrey Pines had a senior duo take command as Dylan Kail scored 12 points along with two steals and Matin Madadkar scored 15 points. Cody Shen was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Torrey Pines is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for San Dieguito Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
Torrey Pines will stay at home for another game and welcome the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Sage Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Falcons are ranked 37th). As for San Dieguito Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Carlsbad's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 matchups.
