Softball Recap: Klein Cain Comes Up Short

Klein Cain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-4 to the Klein Oak Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in February.

Brielee Weber was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Jazmine Freeman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Klein Cain's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Klein Oak, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Klein Cain is set to face off against their familiar foe Tomball Memorial at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Klein Oak will square off against rival Klein Forest at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
