Basketball Recap: Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's Loss Ends Ten-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ridge Spring-Monetta apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-4. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will host Blackville-Hilda at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Blackville-Hilda's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they will be playing at home against Horse Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
