Softball Recap: Lake Travis Takes a Loss

Lake Travis suffered their biggest loss since May 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 11-4 to the Leander Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Haley Whitefield made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Lake Travis' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Leander, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Lake Travis and Leander's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Lake Travis and Frenship (who has only given up 3.17 runs per game) will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Leander will take on Bowie at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, a squad that's only allowed 3.86 runs per game.
