Basketball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Brodhead Cardinals, falling 70-29. The Cheesemakers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Brodhead, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Monroe will square off against Parkview at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe is facing Parkview at the right time seeing as Parkview is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Brodhead, they will be playing at home against Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Brodhead's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
