Volleyball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

St. Thomas Aquinas is on a ten-game streak of home wins, while Bloomingdale is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

St. Thomas Aquinas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against West Boca Raton as they made off with a 3-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Thomas Aquinas took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Hailey Trebbien, who had three digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Maddie Meltz also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Bloomingdale made easy work of Dwyer on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Bloomingdale not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Dwyer between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-19.

Bloomingdale's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their victory bumped their record up to 26-4.
