Baseball Recap: Empire Gets the Win

While Empire's win against Show Low wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Ravens won by a run and slipped past the Cougars 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Ravens, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Evan Walker looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zackary Breinlinger, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Asher Bird was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Empire now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Show Low, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.

As of now, neither Empire nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
