Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridge View). They took down the Lugoff-Elgin Demons 90-73 on Saturday. Given the Blazers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Demons are ranked 59th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lugoff-Elgin lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Oliver Coleman, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 22 points. The dominant performance gave Coleman a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Long, who went 7 of 10 en route to 17 points and five boards.

Ridge View pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Lugoff-Elgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Ridge View will head out to square off against Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season. Lugoff-Elgin has already played their next match (against West Florence), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
