Baseball Game Preview: Oldham County Colonels vs. Bullitt East Chargers

The Oldham County Colonels will venture away from home to take on the Bullitt East Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Oldham County earned a 6-2 victory over Eminence. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonels.

Colton Davis looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jackson Martin, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah McCall, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, while Bullitt East put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Washington County. Bullitt East blew past Washington County 12-0.

Oldham County's record now sits at 2-0. As for Bullitt East, their record is now an identical 2-0.

Everything went Oldham County's way against Bullitt East in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Oldham County made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oldham County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
