Softball Recap: Kiel Raiders vs. Campbellsport Cougars

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valders, Kiel was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Campbellsport Cougars out 6-5. This was payback for Kiel, who suffered a 6-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Liz Neils made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Neils has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Neils was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Paige Wilkens was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
