After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Ursula Academy, Ashland was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mansfield Senior Tygers a 4-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Arrows needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.
They hit Mansfield Senior with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Amelia Hunt (2),
Adi Helbert, and
Anszley Wilson.
Ashland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5-4 record this season. As for Mansfield Senior, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Ashland has already played their next game, a 9-1 defeat against Notre Dame Academy on the 5th. As for Mansfield Senior, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Norwalk at 5:00 p.m. on October 16th.
