Softball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington and East Bernard squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lexington had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Brahmas by a score of 4-3. The Eagles have struggled against the Brahmas recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Lexington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrie Mathews, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8-2. As for East Bernard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

While Lexington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
