Red Wing won the last time they faced John Marshall and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wingers walked away with a 5-1 win over the Rockets.

Stella Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Molly Jacobson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Red Wing's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for John Marshall, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Red Wing will head out to challenge Mankato West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wingers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scarlets have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for John Marshall, they will face off against Albert Lea at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.43 runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
