Exeter-Milligan/Friend falls short of Stanton in the playoffs

Recap: Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats vs. Stanton Mustangs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats can now relate to. They fell to the Mustangs 42-36. Exeter-Milligan/Friend's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Exeter-Milligan/Friend still got an impressive performance from Breckan Schluter, who rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns. Schluter was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.

Barrett Wilke was his usual excellent self, rushing for 250 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 135 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes for Stanton. Wilke has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last six times he's played. Mitchell Hupp was in the mix as well, providing Stanton with two touchdowns.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Stanton, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stanton also has no future games currently scheduled.
