Pikeville and Perry County Central are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Panthers will challenge the Commodores at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pikeville will be strutting in after a victory while Perry County Central will be coming in after a loss.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Monday. Pikeville walked away with a 7-2 win over Tug Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pikeville.

Meanwhile, Perry County Central has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.71 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They fell 11-7 to Oldham County. The Commodores have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mikayla Shepherd was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Pikeville's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Perry County Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
