Volleyball Recap: Aryn O'pry and Lexie Starcher Secure Win for Trinity Christian

It was a proper cat-fight when Trinity Christian took on Spalding on Tuesday. The Lions came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Trinity Christian was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-8.

Leading Trinity Christian to victory were Lexie Starcher and Aryn O'Pry. Starcher had 15 assists and two aces, while O'Pry had five digs and two aces. That's the most assists Starcher has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good server: Trinity Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Spalding, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will head out to challenge Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spalding, they will venture away from home to face off against Mary Persons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
