Lake Forest Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Cristo Rey St. Martin CRSM by a score of 2-0. The Caxys were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the CRSM, so the Caxys were just returning the favor.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Forest Academy took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14.

Cristo Rey St. Martin's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Lake Forest Academy will host Rochelle Zell Jewish at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Caxys are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, they will venture away from home to challenge Waukegan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
