It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holmes County had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Chipley Tigers  a   10-0 shutout. Considering the Blue Devils have won 11 games by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Bri Adams made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kiersten Womble, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in February.  Kendall Pugh was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Holmes County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chipley only posted  an  OBP of  .062.
The  win (which was Holmes County's third in a row) raised their record to 18-8. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Chipley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
As of now, neither Holmes County nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
