After a string of four wins, Fayette County's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 12-2 to the Spanish Fort Toros.

Fayette County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kason Rushing, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Fayette County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in five consecutive contests.

Fayette County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Spanish Fort, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Fayette County will head out to take on South Lamar at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spanish Fort, they will be taking part in a tournament against Greenbrier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
