Basketball Recap: Keller Falls Despite Big Games from Parker Viers and Steven Ramirez

Keller suffered their closest loss since November 26th on Friday. They fell just short of the Martin Warriors by a score of 48-45. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in February of 2018.

Despite the loss, Keller had strong showings from Steven Ramirez, who posted 18 points and five rebounds, and Parker Viers, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points. Ramirez's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Mcneill, who put up three points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Keller and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Martin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Keller didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-45 win against Mansfield Legacy on the 28th. As for Martin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-46 victory against Wylie on the 28th.
