Baseball Recap: Wyoming Seminary College Prep Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Wyoming Seminary College Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mountain View Eagles, sneaking past 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Colin Donovan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Wyoming Seminary College Prep let Shaun Behrens and Antek Evan run wild. Behrens went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Evan got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Nockley, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Wyoming Seminary College Prep's record is now 14-6. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.
