Baseball Preview: East River Falcons vs. University Titans

The East River Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the University Titans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East River is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Orangewood Christian on Thursday as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Falcons with their most commanding win of the season.

Elijah Sealey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Sealey was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, University saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Palmer, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

East River is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for University, the victory got them back to even at 9-9-2.
