Softball Game Preview: Redmond Panthers vs. Summit Storm

Redmond is 9-0-1 against Summit since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Storm at 4:30 p.m. Neither Redmond nor Summit posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Redmond came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Mountain View, falling 9-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Summit's offense. They lost 15-0 to Bend on Tuesday.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Redmond, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.

Redmond got the 'W' when the teams last played two weeks ago against Summit by a conclusive 16-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
